The NCAA officially announced on Thursday the qualifiers for the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round—scheduled for May 29-31 in Jacksonville, Fla.—and the Yale men s track and field team had three of its athletes make the cut. The Bulldogs also had three athletes qualify for the regional meet last season. In order to qualify for the East Preliminary Round, athletes had to record one of the top 48 marks in a given event among the athletes in the designated East region during the outdoor season. The top 12 competitors in each event in Jacksonville will then earn qualification to the NCAA Division I Championships, scheduled for June 11-14 in Eugene, Ore.
