2015 Cross Country Season Begins Sept. 11Published by
Yale women s cross country is back in action this coming Sept. 11. The Bulldogs begin their season with their annual tri-meet against ancient rivals Harvard and Princeton. This is the only meet in which nearly the entire team competes during the season. Thus, this 5k course serves as the first chance incoming freshman have to demonstrate their talent. While any newcomer may breakout as a team frontrunner, the freshmen roster does boast of multiple state champions and one national champion. These include Washington state champion Andrea Masterson of Seattle, Wash., who looks to have an immediate impact on the team s success. Other freshmen with the potential to make immediate contributions include Kate Zendell of Suffern, N.Y., Ellie Atkinson of Cardiff, Wales, Emily Kaplan of Washington, D.C., Caroline Beakes of Chevy Chase, Md., and Gabrielle Rinne of Truckee, Calif.
