This coming season, the Yale cross country and track and field programs will welcome 11 new athletes to their ranks. A well-rounded group, the incoming class includes multiple runners, three jumpers and the team s first heptathlete in years. The members of the incoming class have fared very well at the state level, with a couple of athletes finding success on the national level as well. This diverse group of athletes will train under the leadership of 2016 cross country captain Frances Schmiede and 2016-17 track and field captain Kate Simon.
