The Yale men s cross country team will look to cap off its regular season in exciting fashion when the Bulldogs make the short trip to New Britain, Conn., to compete in the CCSU Mini Meet on Friday. Many of the team s top runners will get some well-deserved rest after running well at the Pre-National Invitational in Indiana last weekend, meaning that Yale s representation at the Mini Meet will be dominated in large part by underclassmen looking to make their mark. The Mini Meet—which gets its name from the fact that it is run on a 5k course instead of the usual 8k distance—poses a unique challenge and figures to highlight some of Yale s up-and-coming talent. Yale has a history of success in New Britain, placing first overall at the meet in 2012 and third in 2013.
