Bulldogs Finish Fifth at HepsPublished by
Competing in cold and rainy conditions, the Yale men s cross country team raced to a fifth-place finish at the highly anticipated Ivy League Heptagonal Championships on Saturday. The Bulldogs finished with 123 points, finishing with a lower average time (25:00.7) than sixth-place Columbia (25:01.9), which also finished with 123 points. The Elis also beat out seventh-place Harvard (146 points) and eighth-place Brown (155 points). Harvard and Columbia were ranked fifth and sixth, respectively, in the most recent USTFCCCA Northeast Region poll, and Yale (ranked eighth in that poll) should be expected to receive a higher rank when the next regional poll is released on Monday. By placing fifth at Heps on Saturday, the Elis matched their finish from 2013, which was their best showing at the meet since 2006. Read the full article at: www.yalebulldogs.com
