Bulldogs Place Seventh at Regionals as Dooney Takes Third OverallPublished by
The Yale men s cross country team raced to a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Division I Northeast Regional Championships at New York City s Van Cortlandt Park on Friday afternoon, matching its team finish from last year s meet—its best placement at Regionals since 2004. With 200 points (just one more than the team finished with last year), the Bulldogs placed fourth among Ivy League schools, finishing behind Columbia (fourth place 126 points), Cornell (fifth 141) and Harvard (sixth 178). Syracuse, Providence and Iona entered the meet ranked third, 19th and fifth, respectively, in the USTFCCCA s latest national poll, and the three programs unsurprisingly finished first through third, respectively, at Regionals. The Bulldogs managed to finish ahead of ninth-place Dartmouth, which entered Friday ranked one spot ahead of Yale in the USTFCCCA Northeast Region poll. Read the full article at: www.yalebulldogs.com
