Cross Country Overcomes Ivy League, Northeast Competitors at Pre-NationalsPublished by
Yale cross country s top seven female athletes competed this Saturday at the NCAA Pre-National meet in Louisville, Ky. The meet was hosted at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park, the site of the NCAA National Championships at the end of November. The Bulldogs gave a strong group effort to place 14th out of the 45 teams competing. In fact, Yale beat Ivy League competitors Brown and Cornell, as well as every opponent in the Northeast region. These included New Hampshire (21st) and Connecticut (31st)—two teams previously ranked above Yale by the USTFCCCA.
